KUWAIT CITY: A budget of KD 4 million is being sought to pay allowances to outstanding employees in the Ministry of Health MoH, reports Awan daily. Assistant Undersecretary for Financial Affairs at the ministry Abdul Fatah Al-Asmawy said a memo demanding the sum has been submitted to Undersecretary Dr Ibrahim Al-Abdulhadi. Al-Asmawy said all health zones and sectors will be asked to prepare a list of deserving candidates next month and send it to the ministry for approval. The payments will be made swiftly as soon as the lists are made, he said, adding workers will not be made to wait for the completion of lists of all zones and sectors.
Meanwhile, the committee in-charge of hiring nurses from abroad has selected 600 male and female nurses from India, Al-Sabah daily quoted Head of Nursing Staff at the Ministry of Health Awatif Al-Qattan as saying. Indicating that all the nurses cleared tests related to their specialties, Al-Qattan said the committee submitted the list of candidates to Assistant Undersecretary for Medical Affairs Quais Al-Duwairi for approval Thursday.
